Positive Behaviorial Intervention Support
Our BOSS Positive Behavioral Support Program's objective is to provide a common language to communicate a universal behavioral expectation that promotes a safe and positive school climate. Our PBIS team works to implement proactive educational teaching for both staff and students alike in order to achieve our objective. Evergreen is entering its 4th year with the BOSS PBIS system. In the 2007/08 school year, Evergreen was evaluated at 80% implementation of our PBIS program. Our 2008/09 evaluation scored us at 97%, one of the top scores in the district! Our PBIS team consists of six full-time members and three to four specialty members.
Positive Behaviorial Intervention Support
- Common language usage for staff and students to clearly define behavioral expectations at school. This
common language is both verbally communicated by staff and visibly seen by poster reminders around school. Our
acronym for our common language is B.O.S.S. which stands for:
Bring it — Responsibility
Own it — Accountability
Show it — Respect
Share it — Compassion
- Recognition system for students who exemplify or show improvement on our B.O.S.S. characteristics. Students can be awarded BOSS BUCKS from staff members which they may use in school raffles or at the student store.
- Behavioral Data Analysis and Intervention System that allows staff to review behavioral trends and personalize specific behavioral interventions for students.

Our BOSS program is supported entirely by fundraising efforts. Most of our fundraising is generated by our generous staff members who volunteer their time to organize and produce the following money makers for our program.
- Magic Show (featuring the magical talents of Mr. Waterman)
- McTeacher's Night (featuring various staff members serving you dinner at McDonalds)
- Cocoa Cart (available to students upon arrival a couple weeks during the winter months)
- EMS T-Shirt Sales (available for purchase in the Counseling Center)

Teachers receive a weekly supply of BOSS BUCKS which they use to recognize students who exemplify or show improvements with our BOSS characteristics. Students may use the BOSS BUCKS in the following fashions:
- Each BOSS BUCK is worth a quarter at the Student Store (open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and some Fridays during lunches) and can be used to buy snacks or EMS gear.
- BOSS BUCKS may be placed in our "EAGLES NEST" in a bi-weekly raffle where students can win various prizes such as gift certificates, EMS T-shirts or candy.
- BOSS BUCKS may be used to vote for fun assembly activities such as: staff performances, student vs. staff competitions or other creative activities.
