Welcome to Glencoe High School's Athletic Department website. Glencoe has developed a rich tradition in athletics in its 31 year history. While our main focus in our athletic department is directed not necessarily to winning, but to be as good as we can be, the Crimson Tide has enjoyed some special moments in winning six OSAA State Championships. The Crimson Tide showcased itself several times by winning state titles in Boys' Basketball (1982-83), Football (1986 & 1994) Girls' Basketball (1990), Track & Field (1989), Boys' Soccer(2007) and Softball (2010).
The Crimson Tide is a proud member of the Pacific Conference. We consider ourselves leaders in sportsmanship. We believe that athletic contests and activity programs are to be conducted in an atmosphere which places maximum emphasis on good sportsmanship, positive relationships between schools, and the education benefits of competition and participation.
We further believe that interscholastic athletics is an integral part of our total educational program. Our coaches must assume major responsibility to develop leadership, foster cooperation, and demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship, and to serve as a role model for students. We also believe that winning of championships should be a result of ethical coaching, talented athletes, and competition conducted with sportsmanship in mind.
